  • starting on tires other than those specified in the technical regulations
  • which exceed the budget of EUR 35,000 gross
  • for prototypes (e.g. Radical), SUVs, cars that are not touristic

The capacity multiplier applies to assign a car to a class:

  • x 1.5 for supercharged (turbo, compressor) cars powered by unleaded petrol.
  • x 1.3 for diesel-powered cars with a standard turbine and program (standard power).
  • x 1.65 for diesel-powered cars with a non-series turbine or non-series program.
  • x 2.0 for cars with Wankel engines.

The minimum net weight of the car (without fuel) is the weight of the corresponding serial civilian car minus a maximum of 20% – the weight given without the driver. For example, if a production car weighs 1,500 kg, the weight of the corresponding car in The Race cannot be less than 1,200 kg.

Safety elements must be listed in the Car Card (Appendix No. 3), but they do not affect the car’s budget:

  • seats and their mountings,
  • seatbelts,
  • fire extinguishing system,
  • safety cage, protective nets, cage lagging,
  • electricity switch,
  • handlebar, quick release,
  • safe fuel tank.
